Seekers are coming, with six revamped classes, five class/profession combos, and two special classes.
Chant with me the sacred mantra: ERC-4337. Arbors and Seekers will use this advanced token-bound contract standard. While backwards compatible with previous NFT standards, let’s talk about what this unlocks for us.
Seekers can own assets earned in the Canopy game. Owning means an NFT and the assets in its possession could be traded as a bundle, greatly diversifying the market as the actions and wealth of each Seeker changes its total value.
NFTs can delegate control to an AI agent or TEE, giving the delegates permissioned access to user what assets the owner decides.
NFTs support account abstraction, letting us set custom paymaster rules for gas. This lets delegated players and agents in game "pay" for features like trading or shopping using in-game currencies.
Bundling of transactions to save on gas and UX.
Rule-based NFT ownership would allow things like guild management of characters, rentals, cooperatively owned mega-assets, etc. Future Harvesters, for example, will not be just smart contract representations, but “ownable” Kaiju entities in themselves.
Smart account game session keys. Reduce per transaction signing by permissioning an approval period for any given NFT.
This list seems simple, but there is a lot to unpack in terms of future-proofing functionality. Fortunately, we have pioneering engineers involved in token-bound contract standards here at Treasure! With token-bound NFTs, the composability of Seekers is a function of the things you do in the Canopy game, canonizing players in the world.
