What are Seekers?

Previously, Legion Genesis and Legion Auxiliary hero were placed in stasis during the Cataclysm. For Bridgeworld players, this meant we took a snapshot of Legion ownership, and will be entitling Legion Genesis holders to an equivalent Seeker when they’re reborn. In a previous post, we also discussed plans to give holders Arbors as well, thought details have not been finalized.

Where Arbors are the aspiring pilgrims and recruits of Bridgeworld, Seekers are the heroic supers. They’re battle-hardened and will be natural leaders in Canopy. New seekers can only be formed from merging the souls of highly experienced Arbors, and their abilities will far surpass the Arbors. Only Seekers will have access to class and faction talent trees.

Recall that Seekers, like the Legions before them, fall into five primary classes, with Numeraires and Boatmen forming two separate specialty classes. Rare Legion Genesis classes, however, have both a primary class and gain an occupation as well. These classes (and occupations) will open additional options for Seekers focus their character builds on, affecting different domains of Canopy gameplay.

Here’s a reminder of how the Legion to Seeker mapping will work initially.

PRIMARY CLASSES

The SPELLCASTER is a believer and master in the power of sorcery as well as being a big nerd about enchantments and witchcraft. While Bridgeworld has evolved along with its technology, Spellcasters have held onto the traditions of ancient magic. When science falls short, spellcasters cheat the physics.

The ASSASSIN is a ninja, a master of disguise, an angel of death, and everyone’s best friend all rolled into one. The skilled Assassin can go from acting like your best friend to killing you before you even know it. Friend or foe, the problem is, you won’t know which until it’s way too late.

TN_Rare_Drunkard_Revealed.png

The DRUNKARD is descended from the Legions Siege class. A Drunkard is everyone’s favorite dumb brute! Drunkards are big, strong, a bit clumsy, and really fun at parties. They are known for creating havoc everywhere they go, but they always do it with a smile. That joy is why they are the last to fall, be it in battle or in festivity.

TN_Rare_Hunter_Revealed.png

The HUNTER is a skilled survivalist and bounty hunter, formerly the Legions Ranger class. They rarely miss their mark. The hunter is also incredibly gregarious and great at making allies, not the lone wolf their profession might suggest. Listening to the gossip of the land and its peoples are their way of life.

The MERCENARY is based on the Legion Fighter class. They are fighters skilled in multiple techniques of hand-to-hand combat, weapons, as well as a wide range of physical sports. They can be surprisingly amiable, but don’t ever get on their bad side. They have a dozen fun new ways to kill you, but don’t mind trying a dozen more.

What are Houses?

Seekers will also be able to curry the factional favor of five Houses. The Houses are like families. They each have cultural and personality motivations behind them, and their belief systems take inspiration from the histories and personalities of the five 1/1 “Hero” Seekers.

Any class of Seeker may earn favor with any House, they’re not exclusive, but Seekers may find dedication earns greater favor, and thus greater House boons.
